About
My Story
When I moved from the Philippines to Canada at twelve years old, I brought with me a small digital Canon camera—a gift from my mom that sparked my love for capturing moments. I made vlogs, created stories, and drew constantly. But somewhere along the way, I convinced myself that pursuing art or photography would never work out, so I stopped.
In November 2024, feeling lost and unfulfilled after jumping from career to career, I decided to take a risk. I bought a secondhand Sony A7III and started shooting again—first nature shots while hiking around British Columbia, then promotional videos for local coffee shops. Those small opportunities reignited my passion. A few months later, a friend invited me to photograph Vancouver Fashion Week, and everything changed. I discovered that fashion is another form of art, just like photography.
Between March and September 2025, I built my portfolio through collaborations with models, stylists, and designers. Then came the dream opportunity: flying from Vancouver to New York to work as a photographer and videographer for a designer's team at New York Fashion Week. That experience reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. Read the full interview on Bold Journey.
